Hi Yogis, my name is Catherine and I love yoga! Practicing it, teaching it, studying it, talking about it…all of it.
For me, yoga is moving meditation that offers a pathway to self-knowledge and finding balance in mind and body, strength and flexibility, ease and effort. Although yoga is a personal, individual practice, I love the powerful component of connectivity and community.
My teaching style emphasizes mindfulness by bringing body and breath awareness into the postures and practice. My hope is that by sharing my love of yoga my students are able to breathe well, move well, and find more ease and balance in their lives, both on and off the mat.
I’ve been a committed practitioner and student of yoga for over 19 years and became a Yoga Alliance, Registered Hatha Yoga Teacher in 2013. I teach mixed-level classes, with options and variations with the intention of offering a yoga practice that challenges, supports and uplifts practitioners, whatever their experience and ability.
My certifications include: 200 Hour Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Yoga for All and I am currently working through my 300 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training.
